First debate of the election campaign kicks off – but WITHOUT Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn

The first debate of the General Election campaign has kicked off – but without either of the two main party leaders.

ITV is hosting a ‘leaders’ debate’ in Salford which was supposed to feature the heads of the seven biggest parties.

However, Theresa May has refused to attend, and Jeremy Corbyn promptly followed suit.
